“ We had an amazing experience at The Hollow, located on Gervais Street in Columbia, SC. From the moment we arrived, everything was spot-on and exceeded our expectations. We started off with drinks, the Smoky Old Fashioned & the Watermelon Mirageand. Both were crafted perfectly. Bold, balanced, and delicious. For our appetizer, we tried the deep fried alligator, which was crispy, flavorful, and something you don’t find just anywhere. For entrees, we ordered the surf & turf special and the lamb chops cooked medium (as the chef recommended). Both dishes were phenomenal! The lamb could’ve used a touch more salt, but the herb blend made up for it, the flavors were rich and well developed. We were celebrating someone special, and the staff surprised us with a complimentary dessert, which was a thoughtful and memorable touch. A special shoutout to our server, Todd H, who provided excellent service throughout the evening, knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. What really sets The Hollow apart is its unique open concept kitchen design, with large windows that let you watch your food being prepared. It’s a refreshing and rare concept in the area that adds to the entire dining experience. Highly recommend this spot for a date night, celebration, or if you just want to enjoy great food, cocktails, and atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back! Don't mind the photos. “ We were traveling from 8 hours away through a thunderstorm and even though we called in advance, we cut it very close to when the kitchen was closing. Despite this fact, all of the kitchen in front of house, staff took great care of us, and we are grateful to have full bellies of delicious food! The manager even helped us park the 26 foot box truck we were traveling with. Our favorite thing was the elk fillet And the duck wings. Would gladly eat here again! ”

“ Atmosphere is excellent. Food was really good. Gator bites for starts, very good. Duck eggs, kinda bland honestly. Salads were interesting with the little round peppers. I got the Elk fillet, it was cooked perfectly and the risotto was on point. Family also got salmon pecan dishes, they liked it a lot. Also got the pheasant, which was crisp and delicious. Cheesecake was great as well. ”
